Designer & programmer (cross browser guru) by trade. Female by birth. Some say I'm hot, some funny, some smart, I prefer all 3. I do stuff, mostly nerdy stuff. I am a social networker, which only means I have a facebook, a twitter a blog. And I had a myspace (once upon a time)... when there were still people on myspace. This blog is about things I enjoy, things that entertain me, what I do for a living (UI Development), things I read (anything I get my paws on), and recipes I like... I hope you enjoy this eclectic jumble of thoughts.
Well, it looks like you've made a mistake.
Here you are, viewing my blog, in the worst web browser that is available.
Sure, it's pre-installed, but that's no excuse. Go download a better browser. Do it now.
And don't blame me if something doesn't work or looks like crap. You've been warned.

Arrested Development News of the Day: Filming for the new season of Arrested Development is almost underway, according to series writer Dean Lorey.
“We’re really doing this thing,” wrote Lorey on his blog. “Mitch Hurwitz, Jim Vallely and I are off writing the new season of Arrested Development to premiere on Netflix in 2013. The original cast is back.”
Back in November, it was reported that 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television were bringing the critically-acclaimed show back for a new season that will stream on Netflix.
Lorey boasted that the show is definitely returning because “There are offices and parking spaces.” He says the show will be shooting this year.
Let’s celebrate this wonderful news with a little chicken dance.

ACTA Misconceptions of the Day: Activists both online and off have rallied against the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), signed by 22 European Union countries last week, and previously signed by the U.S., Canada, Japan and others.
They may be attacking the treaty for the wrong reasons, though.
As Ars Technica explains, there are many things wrong with ACTA — like an utter lack of transparency in the negotiation process and tying the hands of legislators who wants to revise their own countries’ copyright laws — but some of the main arguments being made against ACTA are based on misconceptions or older versions of the treaty.
Proposals like a mandatory “three strikes” policy that would take Internet access away from repeat copyright infringers and a requirement that ISPs monitor every single packet of their customers’ Internet were actually removed from the final version of ACTA (PDF).
ACTA would likely be bad for companies selling generic drugs — forcing them to tweak the appearances of their drugs to make them look less like trademarked brands — but it wouldn’t, as some critics have said, lead to the wholesale seizure of any generic drugs transported across borders.
Finally, ACTA doesn’t include some of the most onerous parts of U.S. anti-piracy bills SOPA and PIPA, like using the DNS system to block access to allegedly-infringing sites, or blocking ad revenue from being paid out to accused copyright violators.
None of this means ACTA is a good thing — in fact, it could still be more dangerous than SOPA — but extreme claims about the treaty could hurt the opposition’s credibility.

Did they just sell out Ferris Bueller? Yes. Was it done well. Yes.
Ferris Bueller Sequel of the Day: So the Ferris Bueller “sequel” that was teased last week has been unveiled in full, and it’s… an ad for Honda starring Matthew Broderick as himself.

Well, I’m not sure what to say about being called the sexiset actor of the year. I’m very flattered and somewhat bewildered. All I know is that I voted for John Barrowman.
